The Tanqueray Botanical Lounge pop-up bar launches at the Cruise Bar for VIVID 2015

On the first night of VIVID 2015, Friday 22 May, media and industry were invited to see VIVID from one of the best vantage spots in Circular Quay while enjoying Tanqueray cocktails and fine food for the launch of The Tanqueray Botanical Lounge at the Cruise Bar.

Cruise Bar has turned level one of its premises into a nautical inpired bar and level two of its premises into an Asian inspired Tanqueray Botanical Lounge pop-up specifically for VIVID 2015..

Inspired by the Hong Kong-esque water front light shows, The Tanqueray Botanical Lounge will be themed with colourful parasols, and ruby red lanterns illuminating the space with their seducing warmth.

Visitors will be drawn into a botanical wonderland, starting their journey from the ground floor with dense ivy panels creating a magical staircase reminiscent of a covert entrance. Enticing them upstairs will be the alluring and seductive sounds and smells of fresh herbs and cocktails being created with the world class favourite Gin.

Guests will be able to get their taste buds tingling with Tanqueray’s exclusive selection of unique mouth-watering cocktails. Enjoy the magic, and light up for the LIVID FOR a MARTINI, which contains the perfect mix of warm herbs and spices, or discover the bitter sensation of the TRICHROMATIC. Feeling safe, go simple with the NEGRONI, or channel your inner fighter with the kick-ass KUNG PAO SIPPER. If you are feeling nautical sail the high seas with the SHIP BREAK HIGHBALL, which has a delicious blend of lychee, Tanqueray, macadamia, dill and Yuzu.

Tanqueray gin combines a rich, full flavour and bold, layered taste, crafted from a complex combination of only the best botanicals (juniper, peppery coriander, aromatic angelica root and liquorice), which have been selected and distilled to deliver an elegant and beautifully balanced premium gin since 1830.

The Tanqueray Botanical Lounge’s exotic-cool mix of cocktails, great food and top DJ talent makes this the spot for groups to gather and soak up the VIVID atmosphere all night long.

Free to enter, and open nightly from 5pm until late. The Tanqueray Botanical pop-up is open from Saturday 23rd June till Monday 8th June.
